“With my daughter at the airport I was startled by a paparazzo, who I quite understandably mistook for a zombie,” he [Woody Harrelson] said. — Source: CNN

Harrelson just wrapped a movie called “Zombieland” in which his character (named Albuquerque) is constantly attacked by zombies. Potentially cliche premise aside, Harrelson’s claim is that he was still very much in character when he arrived in the New York airport and clobbered a photographer, damaging his camera and resulting in a report to the police.

Mr. Darwin would like to strip the photographer of his evolution points for continuing to follow the angry, violent, zombie-hallucinating actor all the way to the parking lot.

Harrelson gets points for the proper singular form “paparazzo” but loses points for failing to use “whom”. Misuse of the phrase “quite understandably” gets a pass as it has been saved by its giggle-worthiness.

I guess it’s lucky Harrelson didn’t have any similar run-ins after filming “Natural Born Killers.”

Why no, I don’t read CNN for real news anymore. That would be silly.

Yes, Mr. Paw. The rainbows are haunting you. They have nothing to do with the sun hitting the crystal hung in the window.

Sunday we went to Fairmount Park for Sakura Sunday! It was fun! And pretty! The weather was beautiful – sunny and just warm enough to play at Spring. I suspect the funding was lower this year because the taiko drummers and dancers were local (very good) university-based groups with “Special Guests” from Japan rather than the full professional groups out of Japan. I enjoyed seeing the new groups though I wished there would have been a little more (read: any) explanation before each performance.

The Japan House was open for short tours as well which is new for this event. They must have figured out some way to deal with the volume of people going through the semi-fragile house. The line of people waiting to get in went down one side of the property and around the corner.

Many photos were taking. Some photos have been shared for your viewing pleasure. Trust me, you don’t want me to post all 800+. (Sports mode ftw!)

So we saw dancing and drumming and swordsmanship and flowers and the Japan House and … cosplayers… oh my!
