IMG_3657There’s a lot to be said for a seriously comfy nap. Sometimes… you just have to nap on your sister. Right?

The girls spent a little too much of Friday afternoon napping. Can you blame them though? It was gray and dreary and just the perfect napping day. We suspect they may have napped all evening as well. This bodes poorly for a quiet night.

Currently they’re chasing each other around like little maniacs. Which is, of course, approximately what they are.

Luckily, they’re adorable when they sleep. Really really adorable. But you can see that here.

In these photos, they’re sleeping in my office on the chair-and-a-half. This is about the only place they’ve slept that isn’t lined with handwoven wool. They have incredible taste. The Fop came to me today and asked if we had any extra handwoven blankets that he could put
IMG_3660in his office to lure them into napping on the chair in there. They do love nice wool. So now there’s a wool blanket on his chair, waiting to be napped on by adorableness.

Which of course they are not doing right now.

Now Abby is attacking the unopened box for my new printer. The handle holes on top of the box are so alluring for kittens. Tasha is standing on top of the small box of paper to be recycled wondering why it’s not as fun and deep as it was before I put all that junk mail in it. And Tennyson? He’s lounging in the middle of the floor, taking it all in.

Soon, one or more of them will be distracted from their current curiosities and chase one or more of the others’ tails and the little elephants will be off to the races again.

And finally, hopefully, the kittens will run out of steam again and fall asleep adorably on top of something cozy, handwoven and wool.

And sometimes you just have to have your own napping space. For the record, Tasha’s little crossed paws are the most adorable things on the planet.
