It’s not all about kittens here at the ranch. It’s *mostly* kittens, but there also beads.
I played with beads and wire last night, making some pieces for viking treasure necklaces. It was fun! I need to figure out better ways to tuck wire ends in out of the way. I also need to contain the beads better while I’m working with them. I think there are a dozen little beads under my desk.
Things I figured out last night:
- 20 gauge copper wire doesn’t like to be strong-armed. In fact, it’ll break.
- 26 gauge copper wire is much more resilient.
- Adhesive that warns that it may burn skin on contact? Yeah, maybe I shouldn’t use that stuff.
- Dumping acetone on your fingers to remove adhesive? Turns what’s left of clear nail polish (well, clear with silver glitter) opaque.
- Memory wire is cool stuff.
- Beads are fun stuff. Okay, I already knew that.
