Bear statuary at the Zoo

I’ve always liked this statue and bear statues in this style. The smooth, fluid lines of the bears are just so graceful and beautiful. The snow on their backs and heads just make the statue all the more sweet. Mama bear is trying to shelter baby bear from the snow but baby bear still has a little snow on his head! It’s almost as if she is waiting for something, peering out into the distance for it, standing her ground until it comes. In the city of weird statuary, the Zoo’s statuary is really normal! Trust me!
This weekend is an exercise in Not Getting Sick. That’s right, I’m not getting sick. The Fop may already be sick and I may have a sore throat combined with a general case of the blahs, but I’m not getting sick. I haven’t been sick since I took the new job and stopped sharing germs with the School District of Philadelphia. I will rest, drink tea, bundle up, be good and Not Get Sick. Cross your fingers for me…
